This is from the Echo site

"In the example below you can see "Take1" is highlighted. If you
right click on this you can rename your tracks and call them what
ever you want. You can also click on the #1 (as seen below) and a drop down list will appear. This drop down list will allow you to
choose a set of outputs."

I dont see any output choices as this tutorial suggests

No it's not misleading,
1.This is for Acid 1 or 2
2.if you need more that 1 set of outs, you should enable more than 1 buss.
Try this (if you card has multiple outs)
hit Alt+Enter you should see the Project Properties, click on the audio tab.
You will see a number of additional Stereo Busses with a 0 in the window,
change it to 1 and hit Apply and ok.
You should see Buss A in the mix window.
You can change the routing of the buss outs from the Master (1&2) to lets say 3&4.
by clicking on the routing icon to the right of the fx icon.
Now if you go up to the track you should see a square for the master buss and you can change it to out-puts 3&4.

One more thing to add to George's post:

Be sure that you are not using the Microsoft Sound Mapper as your audio device type on the Audio tab of ACID's preferences. If you are using this method of accessing your card, you will not have multiple outputs available. Use either the Classic Windows Wave driver, or ASIO to access the Layla.
