Subject:Recording Real Time Guitar

Hey all,

I know this is going to sound so lame, but I have great loops and real time midi. Wanted to add some guitar run through my mixing board into my sound card...

All seems fine.. I can hear it, but my recording devices and acid aren't picking up the sounds. I am sure this is a home recording 101 question, but please someone refresh me...

Hello, fellow guitarist! :)

Might want to check to ensure that your soundcard's mixer has the appropriate input enabled for recording. By default, it's usually disabled or muted.

also check the mixer and make sure youre getting a level.

sometimes i solo channels on my Mackie...

Hi - make sure that your sound card is looking to the right source for recording, i.e., "line in" or wherever you have the microphone plugged into the computer.
