Hi Peter, I posted about a bit over a month ago with some suggestions to improve the piano roll's workflow. I was just wondering if your piano roll guy was going to incorporate any of that stuff in an update. I've tried Cubase, Logic, and Sonar, and I think with just a bit of extra effort in the piano roll, SoFo could give 'em a good run for their money on the sequencing side of things - here's my impression of them. Sonic Foundry has all of them beat with regards to audio user interface. Sonar is quite close (suspiciously similar, actually), but I still prefer Vegas. Cubase and Logic aren't super-hard to understand, but it's just hard to do things in a hurry on them. They tried to make everything all shiny and console-like. Very clunky. Sonar's piano roll is at around the same level as Acid's right now. (least usable of the lineup) Logic and Cubase are pretty much on par with each other with regard to their piano rolls - they're both better than Sonar and Acid's. However, as I said before, the rest of the programs suffer from excessive eye candy and a clunky user interface. With killer MIDI sequencing/editing, and the adoption of ASIO and VSTi, SoFo could really gain some serious market share. Still hoping for handy MIDI sequence editing in SoFo products, Warren |

There are not plans with the next update to add functionality to the Piano Roll. There are bug fixes comming, but no new features. Peter |
