After you have used Acid to create your masterpieces, have you had any luck sweetening the mix with the BBE Sonic Maximizer 882, or is it more hype that function? I see that the local Guitar Center is running them for $199, and I was wondering if I should give it a try. Does any body out there have any success or horror stories about their use? Thanks, James |

bbe is a good tool to have when mastering but i don't see any benefit in using it live so i suggest you try the plugin from www.virsonix.com at http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/BBESonicMaximizer/default.asp i had a 442 in my rack until i discovered the plugin. the hardware version adds noise to the mix while the plugin is much cleaner and will save the steps of creating an outboard fx loop. |
