Subject:Acid 4.0a hard crash when recording audio of midi tracks

This is the 9th time it's happened so the problem is becoming chronic. When I begin to record the midi tracks in Acid to audio (Acid is playing a MIDI track to my Virus KB which is being routed to my M Audio Delta66). It doesn't happen every time I try to record, but enough to prompt me to type this inquiry.

I'm recording at 44.1 Khz, 24bit audio using the latest MAudio66 drivers and latest Midisport drivers. Win XP w/latest 4 in 1 drivers for my AMD Athlon XP-1600. 512 megs of SDRAM, latest drivers for my NVidia G-force 2 video card. Cheetah Ultra2 SCSI hard drive.

Is it just me, or is anyone else having experiencing this phenomenon?

The audio stutters while the screen goes black for about 2 seconds and then the PC shuts down and reboots.

Did you try the beta Delta ASIO drivers yet? (I know you said the latest, but that's different. :o) ) They were made to specifically fix an issue with ACID 4.0 crashing.

HTH,

Yea, but those are ASIO...wich don't seem to resolve any issues. I'm using the Classic Wav Driver.

Thanks though.
