I put 18 songs together and they merge real nice, but after I burned onto a cd I found out that it is all one track?? Track 1 that is 74 mins long.. I mean that is no good for me. Is there a way to put markers or something so that i can go track 1, 2, 3 etc.. ?? Thank you in advance for your replies.

My suggestion is not to burn from Acid but render to Sound forge and identify each endsong fade out etc, then place a marker at the beginning and end... highligh then click Edit..Copy...Edit...Paste special...Paste to new and save as...for each track.

Here are the processes I have been using lately:

1) Mix tracks in ACID (Check to make sure you are using cool songs, or the quality of your mix will suffer).
2) Drop markers at the beginning, end, and at your mix points so you will know where you want to split your tracks.
3) Render to one large WAV file, be sure to check the "Save project markers with media file" box in the render dialog.
4) Open that WAV file in Sound Forge
5) Go to Special>Regions List>Markers To Regions (this will create regions for all your tracks
6) Go to Tools>Extract Regions, fill out your destination directory, and let Sound Forge extract each region to a separate WAV file
7) Drop those WAV files into your favorite CD-R app and burn disc-at-once, with no gaps between the tracks

Alternately, you can use Vegas 3.0 starting at step 4:

4) Open Vegas 3.0
5) In the Explorer, locate your WAV file, right-click it and choose to open it in the Trimmer
6) In the Trimmer, double-click each region and place it on the timeline, end to end (turn off Fade Edges in the Editing page of the Preferences if you notice any changes during playback at track change points)
7) Go to Tools>Lay out Audio CD from Events (due to crossfades, event length, and potentially other changes you have made here, you may need to adjust a couple of tracks manually to get things perfect)
8) Burn as a Disc-at-once CD

OR, you can just use Vegas 3.0 for step 7 (of the first list):

7) Open Vegas, go to Options>Preferences>Editing, and set the default gap between CD tracks to 0:00. Also, turn off auto-fading of event edges while you are here.
8) Locate the WAV files you extracted in the Vegas explorer and add them to your Media Pool.
9) In the Media Pool, be sure your files are sorted by name, Select All, then right-click the first track and choose Add as CD track. Your tracks will all appear on the timeline, end to end, with the proper tracks.
10) Burn as a Disc-at-once CD

Hope this helps someone out! :)

I burn my finished songs to wav and put them into adaptec easy cd creator and burn a nice cd. break up your huge loop into seperate songs and save as each one to .wav and put in your cd maker program. Its easy.

Nate:
With these methods in Vegas, I know Vegas will slide the track starts to appropriate points due to block size on the CD but will it move the audio as it slides teh tracks or will it leave the audio and just move the track starts?

Wrong forum for Vegas stuff, but it would be very nice if Vegas could lay out a CD from markers so you could drop a long wave in Vegas, drop some markers, and burn. Grabbing a region in vegas and making it a CD track is not so easy as it seems that double clicking between markers does not selct that region between markers. Also, because Vegas corrects for CD blocks, your last marker may be before or after the last CD track ended. Double clicking and making a new track could leave a gap due to the last CD track ending just before the last marker.

In other words, I hope those guys are working on the usability of CD burning.
