Subject:Syncing Problems Posted by: buffalosnout Date:9/20/2002 10:48:10 AM Peter and others: I have just downloaded and installed 4.0a. As with 4.0, I cannot get it to sync smoothly with Sonar 2XL, using external MIDI devices. Sonar picks up the sync, but plays in "bursts"--speeding up and slowing down. This happens on every song. I can then go back to Acid 3.0g, and the same song (and every song) syncs perfectly with Sonar 2XL. The sync settings are identical in Acid 3.0g and Acid 4.0a. I'm using SMPTE 30 non-drop and the Virtual MIDI Router. My gear includes Win2000 with a 1.9 Intel and the latest drivers on everything. My soundcard is the SB Audigy Platinum, which also provides the MIDI interface. It is tempting to blame the Soundblaster, but it works fine with Acid 3.0g. Any ideas would be most appreciated. I just tried out the patch with Sonar 1.3.1, Virtual Midi Router and ACID 4.0a and can confirm this. Damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn. I have sent two mails to support about the issue, no answer yet. I'M CRYING. SOMEONE HELP US POOR COMPOSERS!
