When I view my work in the piano roll CPU usage (task mon)climbs higher and higher until system just comes to a halt. Using FXpansion DR-008 VST for multilayered drum samples. Anyone else experiencing this? When I playback without piano roll in view it's cleaner. I dont have this problem with Sonar and the likes...Here's the specs, and please dont slam my system, I know where the cieling is and hit my head often. Win XP Pro P3 600mhz 512 ram two 20 gig deskstars Nvidia graphics Delta 44 audio Keystation 49 midi Thanks all. |

I should also add that the VSTi makes no difference. I just tried using the DLS that is included and just wrote a very simple melody and tried payback in piano roll. Task man 20% 22% 26% etc...until finally 100% then halt. |

That's not a bad system. Did this just start happening or was it constant? Try uninstalling/reinstalling ACID? HTH, Iacobus |

I have only been using 4.0 for 3 days. I actually bought it by phone today but am still running demo cause i'm planning on a reformat in a day or so. Not really working, just testing hard. I am just curious if this is across the board for being a glitch or if I'm isolated. It's very simple, open task man and set view in 4.0 to Piano roll. Press play and watch CPU climb. Is it just my "dirty" system or are you folks seeing the same? VST plug does not matter. |

Unfortunately, there is a memory leak in the pianoroll (and the other OPT views), which can cause ACID to eat up CPU cycles and memory. This has been fixed, and will no longer be a problem when the 4.0b update is released. Very sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience. |

Cool. I thought it was just my machine. So I can look forward to another update. Hopefully soon? This month? Please tell! |
