i've got Absynth and Stylus drum module from Spectrasonics working great with ACID Pro 4.0a as VSTi, but i can't get ACID to recognize the reaktor VSTi files. i have the latest Reaktor update. what is the deal? i have no other known problems, but Reaktor cost me 500 bones. |

yeah we all here... I've nothing to say about the Reaktor issue but Sofo should work on their hosting of VSTi... Still have trouble with Few VSTi Like Energy Pro that doesn't sync and Lounge LIzard that rocks in CUbase and is not playable in Acid 4 coz of Major Midi note getting stucked... Plz Sofo CHeck out these Issues with ASIO Stuttering and VSTi compatibility... |

I've tried the Reaktor demo as a VSTi in ACID 4.0a before. Didn't seem to have any problems. Could load ensembles and such and play them back once assigned to a MIDI track. A couple things to try: -Be sure to go to Options>Preferences on the menu bar. Click the VST Instruments tab. Be sure to specify a specific folder the Reaktor DLL is in. Click the Refresh button afterward. -Did you make sure you installed the Reaktor VSTi DLL? The Reaktor installer should've asked you this in addition to where you wanted the DLL to be installed. the reaktor dll file is installed and i have tried refreshing the vsti list, but it still doesn't recognize. i'm now having problems with a vsti drum module that i had working fine before. i love acid planet and what acid did for me in the beginning stages, but i think i have just purchased my last software from them. i'll be moving into cubase sx in a few weeks. |

And you might find that isn't a bed of roses either! Plus Reaktor has it's own issues without adding them to Acid - on it's own with a "regular" VSTi's host like Cubase it has it's issues without looking at it with Acid! Moz |

Moz confirms what I've been saying all along: Glitches and bugs are not isolated to ACID alone. Practically every DAW app (and all software for that matter) has some kind of disfunction of some sort. You have to be careful when jumping to a new app; you just might find you've jumped from the frying pan into the fire. Have you tried what Peter suggested in an earlier post? HTH, Iacobus |

Perfect mD, exactly what I was about to suggest. A plug-in can be added to a list of DLL's to ignore if it fails altogether when ACID attempts to index it. This can happen once in a while if NI's CD verification fails, the instrument crashes building its UI, or possibly other scenarios. Peter's post that mD linked to above is a way to allow ACID to re-index that DLL, and hopefully it will work properly this time. Nate |
