I'm getting an error on first run at I choose to run as a demo of Sound Forge 5 so I can then get my codes to contact tech support to sort out my registered version...... I get : Splash screen and then behind it up comes: RUNDLL Error loading c:\Progra~1\Sonic The specified module could not be found Then I click ok and Sound Forge exits - any ideas? This is a completely clean install of XP - I've just done some tweaks as per: http://www.us.steinberg.net/FAQ/platform/winxptweak.htm Any ideas? Moz |

You need to be very careful when using lists of tweaks like this - many of these published lists contain tweaks that were OK for earlier versions of Windows but are no longer applicable to XP, or are just simply wrong. The problem you are having is because you have followed one of these bad "tweaks". But the solution is simple - you just need to re-enable the creation of short filenames and you should find that all is well again with Sound Forge. Mark |

Cool thank you - I guessed it would be one of them but at like 4 in the morning i wasn't thinking straight :) Those tweaks are for XP though not compiled from an old Win2k list though. Thanks, Moz |
