Just got a cheap Audigy card....and noticed that the ASIO drivers only work at
48,000hz ........is is still possible to use loops recorded at 44,100hz with this driver ......if not - are any of the other drivers any use when it comes to VSTi `s and latency......

Believe you can, but note that some VSTi's, as Nate had mentioned, generate 44.1 kHz audio.

How you record digital audio will also probably depend on the source. For example, my guitar processor outputs at 44.1 kHz sampling rate, so I have to set the S/PDIF input signal at that rate for it to match, and therefore my project has to be at 44.1 kHz as well (since everything is now slaved to the S/PDIF input). (I can resample later if I have to.)

I use the Audigy and I'm not having these problems...what is happening exactly? Can I help in anyway? I'm using loops from 8-bit on up, recording 44.1 guitar from a J-Station and using Beatmapped and One-shots as long as 5 minutes with no problem.

As for your question regarding loops with different sampling rates, ACID will resample any loops that use different sampling rates on the fly, so you don't have to worry about the sampling rates your different audio uses, ACID will take care of it.

As for VSTi's, you might want to check out my post that mD referenced above.

Cheers for the help........only working with the demo at the moment didn`t want to install the card if it was gonna be a problem ....cheers again

I had the same problem with my audigy card, had to switch to 48. Then I installed my new WaveTerminal 192M and it handled any resolution without problems or having to reset the audio properties. I'll be dumping the audigy when I get a new 1394 card.
I also have a 'true' 24/96 card for recording and mixing now. Very happy.
