When I attempted to experiment with the new Automation feature in 4.0, I find there are three options to select from. Query is it possible to automate other plug-ins. I've tried dragging&dropping into the automation folder, assigning an envelope, all I get is the Flange/Wah Wah, Resonant Filter, Track EQ. |

What other plugins do you own? Waves plugins are DX automatable. PSP,Wavearts,Cakewalk... Just drop one in the effects chain and see if it lets you select parameters to automate. Later. |

Raskeita, Not all of the Sonic Foundry plug-ins are capable of automation. Only the ones that are already in the "automatable" folder. And speaking of PSP, SHTUNOT, ever wondered what good automation does on their Vintage Meters plguin? =) - Nick |

You can also tell if a plug-in is automatable by the orange faders in the plug-in's icon when they're amongst the non-automatable plug-ins. Iacobus |

PSP stands for Profession Sound Project. They have two free plugins, the Piano Verb and the Vintage Meter. The Piano Verb is a reverb plugin, but it's special in that it does it on a twelve-tone scale, which simulates piano string vibrating sympathetically with one another. Sweet stuff. The Vintage Meters are only graphical, but they let you see your sound on old-school VU meters instead of the digital kind we've gotten used to in this digital age. Check both out. They're free and cool. HTH, Nick |

What ver of Waves Gold are you using? 3.5 and up are the only ver that support DX automation. George Ware |

Various versions of different plugs, some 1.0 som later. None seem to be automatable. It's lookin' like I might be stuck continuing with envelopes, which really aren't that bad, altho I've gotten spoiled with automation in Reason...Level Vibes |
