Here's a good one.... SOFO sent the promo notice to upgrade any version of ACID MUSIC to ACID PRO 4.0 for $99. Well, let's say I pay the dough, get my 4.0a and it gives me a lot of grief.... Would my serial number/activation code from the 4.0a upgrade (@$99) allow me to 'downgrade' to 3.0g to check for better functionality????? The October 1 deadline approacheth. |

Fahgedaboudit! Ain't gonna happen. You're better off stickin' with Music than going anywhere near this turd with lipstick. Or pick up a copy of AP 3.0 on eBay for like, $50. |

I doubt you could downgrade to Acid Pro 3 if you didn't like 4. However the functionality jump from Acid Music 3 to Acid Pro 4 is insane (especially considering it's $99). If I were you I would download the demo and see how well it works on your machine. There are some of us who are having minimal problems with 4.0a (I've only had one crash since the update came out). Also, most of the problems people are having are with the features new to 4.0, so if you wanted to, you could probably use 4.0 as if it were 3.0 with little problems, and wait for future updates before delving into the rest. |

No, you cannot downgrade. Sorry. Like anon said, if you ever have any doubts, you could always download the demo and check it out yourself. Personally? $99 is a steal. Go for it. If there are ever any future issues for you, you're always entitled to free updates. Frankly, I can't see how this software release is different from any other. (I've heard Cubase SX went through similar growing pains went it was first released.) Sure, it can be a little wiggy sometimes, but other than that it's far from being unusable for me. HTH, Iacobus |
