I love the auto-preview of MIDI loops, but is there any way to change the device used to preview the MIDI file from the Microsoft DLS to, say, a VSTi synth? If not how about this as a feature request? It would make this feature much more useful. |

Sorry, but you can't. Problem is that most VSTis will not do very well with a GM MIDI file. We had to opt out for the best overall results. Something that we will consider for the future. Peter |

okay - point taken, but the key question is what kind of MIDI files do most people audition? If its multi-channel GM - song files and the like, I agree. If its single channel MIDI "clips" - the kind of stuff that Newtronic sell - then I you dont care about GM - its much more important to be able to audition using different VSTi/Patch combinations. I have no idea what most people use (anyone care to chip in?) but it would be very cool to be able to shoose. |
