Subject:delay with midi

when using my midi im getting a delay about 1/2 second from the time i touch the key until the sounds come out this is is in real time. i dont think it is the controller for i use it with reason and it dosent happen. is there something that i can do to fix this?

You need to lower the audio buffer size in ACID.

What audio card are you using? Are you using ASIO or Wave Classic drivers (WCD)?

If you are using WCD, then ACID has a slider on the Audio prefs page that lets you adjust this. Depending on your audio hardware, you can go as low as 50-100ms.

If you are using ASIO, then you should select the Advanced button and use the drivers configuration utility to adjust the buffer sizes of the ASIO driver.

thanks peter, i am using the wcd my sound card is a audigy sound blaster platinum ill try that and see what happens thanks again
