SForge exits immediately it opens -Sound Forge - PC

Put in the Serial no. and registered but when I open the program it flashes the first screen and then exits immediately. I've also installed Acid 3.0 build g and SForge doesn't even show up as the editor option for samples. When starting Acid the program reports that an error occurred but the reason could not be determined - the program seems to play normally though. Any ideas? Thanks M

The installation CD provided says it's version 3.0 and the online manual refers to Radeon 8500/7500. Windows reports the driver version as 6.13.10.6043. Regards M

AMD 1.4 gighz thunderbird CPU, Iwill 266 motherboard, 100ATA 72rpm Maxtor hard drive, 512 ram, plextor CDRW. I posted below about it but could not find the answer yet. Keep looking and it will show up. I'd bet it is a problem with another program I have installed. I may reload XP on another partition and then load Sound Forge 6.0 and see what happens. A lot of work, but I'd bet I could find the problem. Thomas
