Subject:Sound Forge 6.0b and XP issues??

Hello Group;

I can't seem to get version 6.0 to work with XP. It works fine with Windows 2000 Pro and 5.0 works fine with both Xp and 2000 Pro. Is there some kind of problem with 6.0b and other programs such as Easy CD Creator, Microsoft Small Busness or some program that causes version 6.0 not to open beyound the start up slash screen in XP? It is the only program that I have a problem with in Windows XP. The problem is I get an error message saying Sound Forge version 6 is unable to open. I have tried reloading, removing and reloading to no avail. Any ideas on that? Thank you for your help.

I am using Sound Forge 6.0b (and Roxio's EAsy CD Creator) on Windows XP and have no problems of the kind you describe. I am using a new computer that came pre-loaded with Windows XP. By any chance did you load Windows XP over an earlier version of Windows? If that is the case maybe the cause of your difficulty lies there. If that is not the case, let's hope someone else out there might be able to give you some help.

Hello Group

I did a clean load of windows XP. I have CloneCD 4.0.1.9, CDRWIN 4.0A, Adobe Acrobat 5.0, Ghost 2002, Antares Mic Modeler 3.06 and auto tune, waves gold pack 3.5, Acid 4.0, Vegas 3.0c, Winamp, Direct Connect, AOL 7.0, Microsoft small biz 2000, WINRAR 3.0, Ultrafunk R3 plugin pack, FlashFXP, KJPro, Roxio CD Creator 5.1, Mediaface II, Sound Forge Noise Reduction, Batch converter, and Microsoft internet explorer 6.00.26. Anything there look like a problem? I updated most everything when I upgraded to XP to make sure all would be well. Thank you.
