Error message on startup of 4.0a -ACID Product Family

Subject:Error message on startup of 4.0a Posted by: dhanjit Date:9/21/2002 5:35:03 AM Since uninstalling 4.0 and installing 4.0a I now get the following (unhelpful) message on starting 4.0a "An error occured starting ACID. The reason for this error could not be determined." I haven't found yet that the functionality of ACID is affected, but it's a pain in the arse, and doesn't inspire confidence that everything will work OK. I didn't get this messasge with version 4.0 and 3.0 to 3.0g. System spec: ABIT KR7A-133 mobo AMD Athlon XP 2100+ 1024Mb DDR RAM 2 x 80Gb Maxtor D740X hard drives Hercules 3D Prophet FDX 8500 LE videocard (ATi Radeon 8500LE) Terratec DMX 6Fire 24/96 soundcard Other than that 4.0a is excellent so far - another great product from SF.

Enable it again and see if the issue goes away. Other than that, I've heard the error message is pretty harmless. HTH, Iacobus

Disabled does not seem to effect Sonar. Thanks for the info! l
