You can´t preview sounds from a soft synth with synth FX applied when Acid is not running (the song). Synth FX are inactive in stop modus. Could there be a way to make this somehow possible or is this program related ? |

have you enabled the synth (green enable button) and enabled Real-Time Midi? |

Correct. We don't run realtime preview/live playing through the FX on the synth buses. The reason is that not all FX plugins are inplace. That is they can introduce additional latencies depending on the plug. Peter |

Yes.... we're talking about the following: Setup a VSTi play it add an effect (eg delay) on the VSTi buss play the VSTi - you won't hear the effect, just the VSTi press play in Acid Play the VSTi - now you will hear it with the effect I guess as a workaround you could always set up a loop region in a blank section of your project and set Acid playing. yes it has nothing to do with it (green button and real-time midi), i tried everything. there is for shure a plausible explanation for it, perhaps its due to the layout of the bus tracks and of the DX automation. (it is not such a big deal anyway) |

Additionally - I hit send to soon - if there were problems caused by the FX, we would also have to add a "by pass FX on realtime preview" otherwise you'd have to remove the FX in order to preview realtime. I am not saying we will never permit this type of functionality, it was just not deemed important enough for non-playback preview. Peter |

Peter, it would make sense to allow non-playback FX preview till the first automation envelope is set (would be useful for previewing dynamics settings etc.), after that only preview in playback mode (like it is now). By the way vsti host sync works really like a dream, it is so important for workflow. thanks |
