There is a new bug with this version. Sometimes when selecting files in the preview window the sounds will not play.

I just tested 50-60 files at random, and none of them failed to preview.

Are the files that are failing to preview above a certain size? Or have they been encoded differently to others? If the same files fail every time, perhaps you could email and example for me to try here. Send it to REMOVECAPSfuzzy_oz@hotmail.com

Just remove the caps from my address (for obvious reasons), and choose one of the smaller problem files so hotmail will allow it.

Whats really wierd is that these are Loops For ACID cd's. I also copied the entire cd to hard drive and still the same problem. Size of file doesn't matter. It occurs with all file sizes. I am able to preview all of the sounds in SF 6.0 with no problems.

That happened to me randomly once in a while in Acid 3 (in multiple updates from c to g). But it never was conistent and I could never recreate the situation. It might be similar to what you are experiencing, but I haven't had this problem yet.

Hey - Me too! I finally installed 4.0a yesterday and I did this exact same thing. I have a number of Loops for Acid collections on my storage drive. Clicked one or two and they previewed then all of a suddenly nothing on clips 3-10. Then it cam back on about a minute later.

I do have a Delta 66 WITHOUT the updated Acid 4.0 driver fix. I also experienced another strange error (Text to follow) whn dragging a loop from the Acid Explorer window over to the project when using the current 5.10.27 Delta ASIO driver. It was totally repeatable. If I switch over to the WDM (Windows Classic Driver), the error went away.

I will update as soon as I can.

I had exactly the same preview problem when using the Delta asio drivers. Updated to the beta driver and it went away

That preview thing...I've had that since day one. I figured something wasn't quite reading right, so just click up to the file before, then quickly back down and it always plays. I don't even think about it.

OK I installed the BETA driver for my Delta card and all my problems are gone.

Do you have the list preview mode enabled in the explorer? (Probably, as this is the default.)

To disable, select the "Other" tab in Preferences (Option | Preferences...) and uncheck the "Enable multiple-selection preview in Explorer window".
