I really would love to use Native instruments Kontakt... right now it makes Acid Shut down without warning.... ;) |

Jacose, I haven't had any problems getting Kontakt to work in ACID, and I think a few others here on the forums have been using it successfully, as well. Can you describe your project in a bit more depth? What instruments are you using? How much system RAM do you have available after loading these instruments and the rest of your project? Please check in the Task Manager, as ACID's RAM meter does not reflect the huge sample buffers some VST instruments load into RAM. Nate |

Kontakt 1.02 is working fine, fully multitimbral except that Acid 4.0 doesn´t support its single (group) outs. |

well, I have p4 1.7ghz 1 gig RAM 2 drives, one for programs and rendered stuff, 80 gig 5400 RPM... then I have the other, 60 gig, 7200 RPM for audio. heres the problem, the project works fine in 3.0.. in 4.0 it runs fine too. The task manager says that acid is using 11MB of RAM. But the first problem is, toward the end of the project, when theres only 2 loops playing, the CPU flies up to 100% and the project stops. and that b4 I put kontakt in. After I put kontakt in and load the grand piano patch from the installation CD, Acid is using 270MB of RAM. when it plays, the cpu maxes out at 70% ok fine, its not maxed out or anything.. but for some strange reason, the project randomly slows down, I hear all these weird click noises and the VU meter shows peaks of 573 db!!!! I have lengthened the buffer.. still no change. then suddenly, the project and ACID itself will just dissapear off the screen. no warning. |

Hi Jacose, Somewhat unrelated perhaps, but I found that with my Radeon 32MB DDR card under Win XP, I couldn't even open SF products (any of them) when running the latest Catalyst drivers. Rolling back to the second to latest Catalyst ran fine. Seems like maybe picky about video compatibility... Just thought I'd mention, with the ACID disappearing immediately with no warning problem. ATI's latest driver may have issues if that's the sort of card you're running. If not related, sorry to take yer time :) Cheers, Asylus |

try also the latest update 1.1 for Kontakt which fixes some issues, it runs smooth like a baby. |
