Subject:3 problems with Acid 4.0

Maybe some users or people from sonic foundry can help me solve the following problems: 1. When triggering a VSTi by a miditrack and playing a couple of bars looped, some (not all) VSTis won't play the first note of the loop, if this note is placed on the downbeat. I've solved this by placing the first note slightly offbeat but this isn't very satisfying... 2. Closing a soft-synth-window, adding an effect to the miditrack, changing the order of the effects chain or saving a project will reset changes made to the adjustment of the soft synth. What can I do so that the settings are being kept? 3. In the audio preferences, I can only choose between Microsoft Sound Mapper and Windows Classic Wave Driver. These cause very high latency when triggering a soft synth by my external midi-keyboard. As I have installed an DirectSound driver for my SoundBlaster Live Value card and it works perfectly with Cubase 5.0 - why can't I find the DirectSound driver in the Acid audio preferences menu? Thanks a lot! zerobae |
