Anybody else have a problem rendering a project to wma or wmv, only to get a message "No existing templates support this media" I have 98SE. Tried latest version of WMP and still cannot do it. Also cannot monitor selected vst during recording, but midi trak appears when stopped and sound resumes ???

Not to mention sluggish operation and frequent crashes

What are your project audio settings? (File | Properties | Audio tab)

If you select Windows Media Video but your ACID project contains only audio, you'll see that message "No existing templates support this media". Try selecting Windows Media Audio from the dropdown instead, you should have a number of template presets to choose from, or you can create your own by clicking Custom.

as far as the overall sluggishness, wait for 4.0a.

if that doesnt fix it... I dunno what to tell ya.

Have tried both , a video project and my regular audio projects. I usually render as..pcm wave,[which works fine], master, then import wave into new Acid project and save as..wma, which is when I am presented with same message. Same if I try to render direct from project.
I am lucky to have standalone "Easy File Converter" but it hasn't got many bitrate options, i.e. 56k stream, which I prefer, to upload to Acid Planet.


Other problem is monitoring vsti's. As soon as I hit record, sound disappears.
