Did you try reducing video acceleration all the way? Please also be more specific as to what else is in your system as well as any installed software. (Anything running in the background? Be sure to give any program running in the background the three finger salute and turn it off (via CTRL+ALT+DELETE on your keyboard).)

MAudio has released a beta of the new 1010 drivers that fixes a problem with ACID. You may want to download and try these out.

Do you have ACID 3.0 installed? Try uninstalling it and try ACID 4.0 again, uninstalling/reinstalling it again if necessary. For some reason, some users (me included) have noticed some increased stability with ACID Pro 4.0 when it is the only version of ACID in the system.

Did you try turning off video acceleration all the way per my earlier post?

How are you "playing" the wave file?

Is it on a track?
Preview from the explorer?

Please try the following:

-Start ACID.
-Select from the menu "Insert | Soft Synth..."
-Select "DLS Softsynth" from the Soft Synth Chooser that appears.

Does this work?

Peter

Installed the Acid4.0a demo and now I can't even start Acid, get error message at startup! I got Win 2000 and the latest M-Audio Delta-drivers(Acidfixed drivers)!
I reverted back to earlier drivers! Still the same problem ! What to do?
