Brilliant Feature Suggestion! -ACID Product Family

Implement this, and I will LOVE you: Make it so that of all the available plugins, the user can create a list (looks exactly like the VSTi synth enable page in options) where they can allow for a "priority disable" of selected effects that they know cause major cpu usage issues. Then, there would also be a button in the Acid toolbar that will toggle "priority mode" to either "enable all," "disable selected," and "disable all," and what this does is: toggles on or off all (or the selected) effects in the project, so that the user can RECORD audio without the CPU load going to 999%.. .. so, by selectively disabling effects that the user knows either use lots of CPU or are just not really important to be able to track audio (like sonic maximizers, etc) instead of having to go to each track individually to disable effects (very time consuming), users with large projects with many tracks can still be productive. Does this make sense? - Cowboy

Works for assignable FX and busses in the Mixer as well (using the Assignable FX or Bus FX buttons, respectively). Not exactly as streamlined per your suggestion, but it's there. Iacobus

I put multiple effects on samples, and will enable/disable some of them at different times so I can A/B sounds.. and sometimes I do this to many samples at once. This "bypass" or "enable" will actually wipe out the "settings" I am A/B'ing, and I still have to go back to individual tracks afterwards and re-enable/disable effects individually after I am done. And this is very time-consuming, not to mention that I can't always remember what settings I had. AND.. It doesn't cover the Master or any Busses I have defined :( I wish it worked that way. - Cowboy
