Sure does, media player 9 and SP1 both break the media layer. It's tied to a file named wmvcore2.dll. Screws up vegas, sf6, premiere and a host of others. Hopefully MS will issue something for you guys. To fix it - out NT guy here at work fixed it for us. But god knows how or what he did. I use a MAC, so the only bit I have to worry about is where apples putting that damn launch bar next on the desktop ;)

So are you saying we can't install SP1 for XP? I could care less about WMP 9 BETA. You should know enough to stay away from WMP Beta until it is released. Then again, it may break things as it looks like that + SP1 does. I am not going to install SP1 till I see some others having no issues with it. I also *hope* MS didn't be a hoser and force you to take WMP 9 beta....that would be quite stupid of them, but I wouldn't put it past them for doing something like this....
