Subject:Acid 3.0 to 4.0 compatibility or just Windows nonsense

I've simultaneously upgraded to Acid 4.0 and Windows XP - now I can't seem to get my Acid 3.0 files to open. A pop-up window comes up that says "An Exception has occurred" and when I hit "OK" the program closes. Has anyone experienced this problem? I haven't tried re-loading 3.0, but perhaps that's all I can do to get some old projects back. Lemme know your thoughts - thanks - grumblebug |

If the project files contain MIDI tracks that were created in Acid 3.0, this is a known bug that will be fixed in the update. There is a very simple workaround in the meantime. Open the project in Acid 3.0 and go into the track properties window for the MIDI track. All you have to do is click the little "floppy disk" icon in the properties window and then the project file should open in Acid 4.0. If the project has multiple MIDI tracks, make sure to do this for each one. Ted |
