I am such an idiot. I just saw Rockit's post. I already said the same thing later on.

Sorry for crowding the forum with useless drivel. :)

Maan,

I just was able to install and try these drivers, and they are great! I'm getting lower latency than before, and with no clicks when I move my mouse around. This is Sweeeeet!! 8Ms, My soft Synths are going to sound great.

Oops, (Hangs his head) Sorry for being so happy, I know there are some peeps who aren't having as good of experience with the program right now. But hang in there, It will get better, I Promise.

See ya, Rockitglider

Gee. I loaded the new beta driver and used Acid 4 demo for about an hour last night. Checked out MIDI stuff, old files, this and that. And NO CRASHES!
What a concept. Maybe I'll upgrade after all.

I spoke too soon. Now Acid works but nothing else does. All SF programs open, I can't get any sound from anything but Acid. I've got the new Delta Drivers. Any suggestions as to how to proceed? I've run through everything I can think of and can't get anything to play on my XP machine. None of the programs send anything to the mixer now...except the Acid 4 demo. Works fine?

Arrghhh...

I can roll back to old drivers but would like to solve this.

Did you still have ACID open (and using ASIO) when you tested your other apps?

Many audio interfaces will not function in both WDM/MME and ASIO modes at the same time. Similarly, most will not allow multiple apps to access them at the same time when using ASIO.

Please give your apps another try without any other audio software open.

Nate

I have a similar problem. Be warned! These drivers are a little half baked still (which I guess is why they only work with Acid 4.0!). I'm jealous that they work for some of you but my pops and clicks in Acid 4.0 are still evident. They REALLY screwed up Cubase SX, too. I would wait for the official drivers IMO. Too bad none of their drivers are WHQL certified.

Even though I have an Echo card, I had a problem with getting other audio apps to play out, with Acid 4 running. I have the Mia, and it has 2 out, but it has virtual outs up to 8.

This hasn't been a problem with Sound Forge 5.0, Acid 2.0, and Cubasis. Oh well. There's one problem. But if I close 4.0, everything else works fine. Since I only really run one app at a time, this isn't an issue for me.

Icrease your buffer size in the M-Audio applett to get rid of the pops and clicks (yes I realize that the latency will be more than some other programs require before it stops popping).

If you're having problems with the beta Delta ASIO drivers and running another app like Sound Forge, try this (using Sound Forge as an example):

-Uninstall and reinstall Sound Forge. (Get the latest update here.)

-Restart your system. I would guess this is crucial, because if you don't, you'll stay in kablooeyland.

-Launch Sound Forge as usual. See if it runs OK for you now.

I was having problems too until I did the above mentioned steps. Try it.

Iacobus
