stupid question maybe..but can i open acid 3.0 files(trackz) in acid 4.0?

If you mean ACD and ACD-ZIP files that were created in ACID 3.0, then yes. However, if you save ACD and ACD-ZIP files in ACID 4.0, be warned you won't be able to open them back in ACID 3.0.
