Reub, You don't need to "record" a VSTi to an audio track at all in ACID 4.0. You insert your soft synth bus, then add your MIDI track by either dropping in a file, creating a new track using the Piano Roll, or recording from an external MIDI source (controller). Once that is finished, route that MIDI track to the VSTi and it will play back with your project. Now, you can just render your project as you would any ACID project and the VSTi will be in the final render. If you simply with to mix a MIDI track down to an audio track within ACID, solo the MIDI track and then use the Render To New Track option under the Tools menu. HTH, Nate |
