I am new to Acid Pro and want to know if there are any good loop options out there other then Sonic Foundry for classical music loops---The reviews I have read in this forum make me a bit leery of trying Sonics. |

Sonics Classical loops are truly great, I have heard them, dont be squeemish ;) I think the only bad set SOFO may have put out were those vocal ones.. otherwise, I dont own like 30 of them for no reason But, East/west has a really great collection of classical loops..I dont know the website tho. |

The SoFo Classical loops are well worth a try. Here's a link to a Symphonic piece(on AP) that I did using the Classical loops library when it first came out. http://www.acidplanet.com/Lounge/Detail.asp?PID=79640 Its 90% SoFo loops, with about 10% MIDI SoundFonts. |

If your talking early classical, the SOFO series can work a bit. I find the Late Romantic period on was not tractable with this series, especially 20th Century tonalities, which at their best can be looped into a poor man's Philip Glass pastiche of endlessly looping cycles signifying nothing. |
