Is there a way to get any audible count-in measures to preivew the BPMs and prepare for recording? Perhaps with an audible metronome sound?

Yeah, now that they've got more midi support and plug-in synths a flexible auto-metronome with programmable pre-roll is an essential.

Why not just start your recording one measure ahead? That's what I've been doing with Acid for years. You can even go into Sound Forge later and trim off the slack if it matters.
