Hello, The Autoplay feature will not function and the play button is grayed out when I select an Mp3 file from the Open dialog window but works for wavs. I'm using SF 5.0 and have been all through the help contents so any suggestions I'll appreciate. Thanks, Mike |

Mike, I asked about that a few months ago. A rep told me that auto play just won't work with MP3s in Sound Forge. So not to worry - your system is fine. - pup |

FYI, Sound Forge 6.0 does support this feature. It will autoplay any format it can open. |

Perhaps you have used up your free MP3 encodes? You cannot read (needed for autoplay) or save to MP3 files if this is the case, and if you do not have an MP3 license for unlimited use of MP3. Try loading an MP3 file into Sound Forge from the file open dialog. You should be prompted to register for MP3 if you need a license and currently do not have one (it's free, no cost to you). |
