Vegas over Acid

So I want to incorporate several Wav files into a track.

Would Vegas be better for me than Acid?

Probably yes. Acid is for creating music from loops. Vegas is for editing.

Editting in what way? I thought Acid can do the same type of editting in the chopper?

It can, but it's alot more of a pain there, if you're doing anything over half a dozen files together that all need clipping.

So what would be a typical "thread" for doing a song demo, for instance...I have sonar 1.3.1, but would that be one of the first stops in conjunction with acid 3 (soon 4)? then sound forge 6, then VV3 to compile several for a 3 song CD "package"...just wanna know if there's any consensus...I always assumed VV3 to be an "end musical app" anyway...looking for a tree, and I aint no...
