Subject:Using Acid with Virtual Instruments

Does anyone know how well Acid Pro 3.0 or 4.0 works with sequencing software like Cubase SX or even something less expensive like Magix Music Studio 7? Both these sequencing programs supposedly have good virtual instruments and I am looking for something that will allow me to compose my own melodies, drum beats and phat basslines. Any recommendations for good sequencing software for composing music as opposed to slicing and dicing loops? Thanks. Midas |

Midas, ACID 4.0 supports MIDI and VST instruments, much like the other sequencing packages you mentioned. In addition, it contains all of ACID's looping, chopping, and beatmapping features for working with loops and sync'ing other tracks to your ACID projects. Full information, pricing, and demos of ACID 4.0 can be found here: http://www.sonicfoundry.com/products/newshowproduct.asp?pid=704 HTH, Nate |
