Subject:Anyone out there pushing Acid 4.0 and not having problems?

I'm just curious if there is anyone out there pushing Acid 4.0 (more than 10-15 tracks with a few midi) and not having any problems? If so, what type of configuration are you using (processor, motherboard, sound card, etc)?

I've definitely gone beyond that number, around 30+ with some FX. Seems a lot more stable this time around vs. ACID Pro 3.0. A 30+ track project with some FX and some One-shot tracks that was giving me a little grief in ACID Pro 3.0 plays just fine in ACID Pro 4.0.

Note I'm playing back at 24-bit/44.1 kHz and not much MIDI. The only problem I'm having is having ACID Pro 4.0 upsample 44.1 kHz samples to playback at 96 kHz on the fly. (Simply resampling all the samples to 96 kHz clears the problem up.)

My (humble) config:

PIII 800EB MHz
ASUS CUSL2-C motherboard
ATI Radeon 32 MB DDR AGP
384 MB PC133 SDRAM
M-Audio Audiophile 2496
M-Audio USB Duo
Windows XP Home

I've gone to about 15 simultaneous audio tracks, but I'm mainly using AP3 until 4.0a comes out . . . (I want VSTi host sync). P4 1.8 512Mb DDR SDRAM Asus P4B266 Pulsar-II card.

Wayne,
Could you give some more details on the crashes you're seeing?
Which VSTis are giving you grief?
Are you using ASIO drivers? Which soundcard?
You mention crashing in the Chopper. We've found and fixed 2 crashes there so far (1 - editing start/end/length text, 2 - having the explorer window closed causes crashed when stopping playback). Are you seeing other crashes in the chopper.

The more detailed information you can give us, the more likely the update will solve your problems!

Thank you.
