I do not see that file (sfxACID40_pro.exe) at that location?? I have already downloaded the posted file (acidpro40_bld215.exe) and it does not install on my Win XP. Anyone have any more info or a fix? Gary |

BC. Here is a copy of details from my thread "Acid 4 will not install" (GG) ============================================ "I just downloaded the new Acid Pro 4 demo and tried 3 times to install it "after" uninstalling the older Acid Pro 3 demo. I even tried (on the third time) cleaning the rgistry of all Acid stuff and I keep getting the same pop up on installation. It says: "The Installation Wizard has ended prematurely! Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, please run the installation again. Click the Exit button to exit the Installation Wizard." Any help or success with others? What modifivations does it want and where is this information? The release notes mention "Download the installer sfxACID40_pro.exe and save it to a folder on your hard disk." But this is not the file that the download sent me." =========================== I can send a jpg of the pop up window if you like. It shows exactly what I typed above. Gary |

Did the files "unpack" without problem from the downloaded .exe? Also make sure to get the latest windows updates for .net and windows installer. |

The installation starts okay and unpacks, then I get that pop up message about trying at a later time and system has not yet been modified. Gary |

Yes, I still cant install, it unp[acks ok, but I get the popup error, Windows installer service cannot be accessed. |

I got the same message for Win 98se......... No problems with any SF products before this. It's a mystery. I wanted to buy it, too. |
