Hello, I'm currently using the demo of Sound Forge 6.0 and wish to record certain radio programmes (Line In), however I'm usually not around when these are broadcast. Is there a delayed recording feature in Sound Forge 6.0 ?? Regards, Clayton |

No there isnt, but you could try first recording to a video tape or MD todays machines come fitted (they do here in Austraiia) with a device that turns on the power at a given time, then off again later. After you have recorded off the radio connecte your recording to your computer line in and dubb. |

You can tell SF when to stop recording but not when to start. I agree with engineer, a VCR would be good, using the LP mode. A hi-fi VCR should give you a real nice recording even at that slow speed. You must also feed it some kind of video signal to resolve to. The Weather channel or a cable program guide works good because they have a visual clock running. |

For an off-the-wall solution ... Hard drive space is cheap, so hopefully you have tons of it. You could always start the recording running just before you leave and let it continue running until you get back. If you have 20GB of drive space free this should last you over 32 hours (assuming CD quality). Then you can trim to the part you want to keep after the fact. |

There is a product called Total Recorder at http://www.highcriteria.com/ that has a schedule option. You may want to check it out. Doug |
