loop-making software. It may hurt the 8-pack deal a bit, but many people like myself would like to make loops to accompany some of the acid beats with a somewhat similar system. It's gonna be pain trying to figure out differences between Fruity Loops and Acid in order to create my loops. Yes, other systems (like the above-mentioned) have loop-making software, but not with the ease that Sonic Foundry would use. Acid can 'create' loops, but the you can only stretch a beat so far before it sounds awful and cannot be used. |

I'm confused, by what you're saying. Acid 4 adds support for VST instruments, which would allow you to create loops by programming your own notes and drum hits. Acid 3 I use to make loops all the time -- load up a bunch of one-shot samples, and then paint them in. You get a good visual overview of what you're doing, and you can apply different insert effects to each sound. WHen you get a groove you like, render it to a new track. Then you can use the groove straight, or cut it up and layer it with other sounds. |

I do the same her too. I create all my loops from one shots. I don't even use drum loops that much any more because they are already mixed down and I might want the kick up in the mix or the loop has a good feel but I don't like the sound of the drums. I've been working in Acid 4 and Knotakt. I created some kits that I set up of one shot drums and play them real-time in Acid 4 as a midi track, George Ware |

I use ACID Pro to record and Sound Forge to tweak and create the actual Loop from the take I did in ACID Pro. Not very hard to do at all, especially now that markers are automatically created for the measures in a recorded take in ACID Pro 4.0 and translate over to Sound Forge. Very easy to extract what I want from the take to create the Loop and delete the rest. Iacobus |

It's gonna be pain trying to figure out differences between Fruity Loops and Acid Fruityloops is really not difficult to master. Sure, Fruity and ACID have different UI's, but if you took the time to read the "Getting Started" document, you'd be cooking in no time. Seriously, when they get the VSTi sync issue sorted, Fruity & ACID will be the ultimate combo. |
