Subject:some minor problems with MIDI and the Piano Roll

Problem #1. I have a Acid project that just uses MIDI and Kontakt.
Kontakt is set up to drive 4 different instruments on MIDI 1..4.

One of the MIDI tracks, when I start up, apparently gets routed to the wrong MIDI channel, because it plays the kick instrument on a different channel instead of
the high hats it's supposed to play.

If I select all the notes in the piano editor, drag them away from the right notes, and drag them back again, then the right instrument gets triggered.

Oh, and if I stop the sequencer, go into the Piano roll, turn on Monitor (the little
speaker icon) and click on the piano keyboard on the left, it plays on the wrong midi channel again.

Problem 2:

If I do loop preview in the piano roll view, sometimes (not always) after looping 4 or 5 times, the sequencer slows down and the sound gets choppy, as though the CPU load goes up with each loop iteration.

PentiumIII 1Ghz,512meg Ram, Windows XP, Asus CUSL2, yadda yadda bling bling.

Incidentally, I ran the Windows task manager and watched the CPU Usage, and it creaps up from very low, to 100% over the course of about 30 seconds. What's more,
the CPU usage seems to increase exponentially per loop iteration -- it starts out going up 2% per loop, then 5%, then 10% and then, well, it's pretty much wedged tight. It keeps running but gradually gets more and more glitched up,slowed down, and sounding like Kid606.

If I stop playback with the spacebar, and hit space again, it starts back up normal speed and does the same thing again...
