Subject:When recording I get glitches in the playback track...

While I'm recording vocals I get glitches in the playback track which tend to through me off beat. Any Idea why this is happening?

Here is my setup:

Acid Pro 3.0
CreativeLabs 16bit SoundCard
record & playback are set to 44khz, 16bit, Stereo.

Try increasing the playback buffer via Options>Preferences>Audio tab on the menu bar. If that doesn't work, try also playing around with the options under the Advanced button, also under the Audio tab.

Which Creative card specifically?

The SBlive and Audigy only work at 48 kHz. This can cause the kmixer in Windows to resample on the fly causing sync loss between input and output. You should set your project to 48 Khz and the problem will go away.
