Posted in wrong place. Re-Post: I bought Acid 4.0 last night almost just for the ASIO support only to find out it seems - unfinished. I have an MAudio Delta Audiophile 2496 and I know it's a fairly popular sound card. Anyway, I've been using the card w/Cubase VST/32 for a while now and have never had problems like I'm having with it in Acid 4.0 (yes, I have the newest drivers for it - I read your mind, tech support!)I just get mountains of popping, clicking and lockups whenever I choose the Maudio ASIO driver. I've set the DMA buffer and bit rate a million different ways but to no avail. Guess it's back to the MS Beatmapper driver *sigh*. Here's the scenrario if it helps. I'm scoring a video with about 60 tracks at 48,000/24. It's a little thick, yes, but a pro product should be able to handle this. Even when I simply preview a WAV it locks up after about 3 previews. I have the Audiophile 2496 too. I've tried ASIO as well. It sometimes crashes on me using ASIO but not all the time. Believe M-Audio has been alerted to the matter. You may want to check out Peter's post on the matter. HTH, Iacobus |
