Subject:Problems with the OPT midi editor

I'm using the Sampletank VSTi with an Aardvark 24/96 audio/midi interface. I can record and play back fine, but I notice two problems when playing back with the OPT midi editor open:

1. It sounds like the midi off message isn't being recognized. Every note has infinite sustain and the music turns to mud.

2. I don't seem to be able to adjust the volume above pp.

Anybody worked through this one yet?

Oh yeah - almost forgot: When checking the input level when getting ready to record, the meters in the record dialog seem to register the attack by peaking when I press a key on my controller keyboard, then drop to nothing...just the opposite of the OPT sustain problem above.

Thanks -

The volume for the softsynth is controlled on the ACID mixer page.

I have not seen the problem you discribed in #1.

The MIDI input meters on the record dialog are actually monitoring the MIDI input. If you move the Record dialog over and are routed to a softsynth, the mixer meters will indicate the level of the audio produced by the softsynth.
