Subject:4.0 bug
Posted by: morphx

To reproduce it follow any of these methods:

Method 1)
Choose any track from the track view, right click it and select "Select in Chopper"
Double click on one of the "Selection Start", "Selection End" or "Selection Length" labels. (These are located on the bottom right corner of the Chopper dialog).
Now, press enter to accept the changes (and even if you don't change anything) Acid will crash.

Method 2)
Choose any track from the track list and double click it to display the "Track Properties".
Double click on one of the "Selection Start", "Selection End" or "Selection Length" labels. (These are located on the bottom right corner of the Track Properties dialog).
Now, press enter to accept the changes (and even if you don't change anything) Acid will crash.

------

Only pressing ESC while editing one of these fields will not crash Acid.

I get an exception error and when you click OK on the error dialogue, ACID closes down. I think both the chopper error and the track properties error are identical, but I couldn't be bothered checking the details so I posted them both. BTW I'm using Win XP with 1GB RAM on an Athlon 1.33GHz.

Chopper error:

Yes, I've got this error too. It seems to be a general bug.

I get a message that looks the same. Different address of course. Here's my system:

Shuttle P591A Motherboard VIA Apollo Chipset
550 Mhz AMD K6III
80 Gigabyte Harddrive ATA100 IDE Controlled
256MB PC100 SDRAM
TurtleBeach Montego II Sound Card
Nvidia GeForce2 400MX 64M video RAM

I use Calkwalk SonarXL now and I am thinking of using this product and would like to try it.I downloaded your demo and it doesn't work. I see many post of people who kicked out $300 and are dealing with major bugs, that sucks. Maybe I'll wait for Acid 5.0. Maybe by then Sound Foundry will have gotten there act together.

I get this error when I hit play. I tried every properties and set up otions in your program, with no luck. I tried your Demo Hrybid song. Importing my own waves and mp3's no luck.
Here's the error message:

The selection start/end/length bug is fixed -- it'll be in ACID 4.0a.

Jayson, let's start a new thread with your crashes when plays bug. At this moment I'm not sure why you crash. What OS and did you try rebooting?
