I'm certainly not complaining about the upgrade price, but a few days ago there was a very strong hint from SoFo that there would be some slightly better special offers made. Has anyone received a code that gives a better offer ? Also, I haven't received an official email from SoFo. Have I missed out or has this not happened yet either ? I'm just itching to start downloading . . . :) S |

I haven't gotten any e-mails yet, either... and I'm getting antsy! I'm gonna hold tight and hope that SoFo fires off some e-mails in the next 24 hours. As for whether or not that's the special offer... my bet is that, yes, it is. The regular upgrade is $150, I think. However, I'd still love to know if there's another one en route... David. |

As far as I've understood there will be an "ACID Pro 4.0 Special", but I don't know what that deal is about. I've asked Kevin at SOFO, but he wouldn't tell. I downloaded Pro 4.0 yesterday and applied for a 7 day trial activition. That gives me time waiting for any special offers that are coming our way. |

I don't see it being less than $99. The special on 3.0 was $99. VV3 was $150 & Sound Forge was $200. No emails here, either... |

If you're currently on our email list, and are a registered user of ACID (any version), you should be receiving an email from us by Wednesday morning at the latest. If you don't have ACID registered and are on our email list, you should receive an email shortly after that - probably by the end of the week. $99.95 is the best possible price (if you meet the qualifications), but the email promotion will include some other purchase options where you can get some extra free stuff. Christ, am I furious. I've just paid the full upgrade price of $149.95 and now see from the thread that SF are offering a special upgrade of $99.95. Why the hell are SF doing this? Surely everyone upgrading is entitled to the so-called special offer. Who should I approach to demand a refund of $50? |

I guess customerservice: customerservice@sonicfoundry.com SOFO did a strange thing today, first you could upgrade for $99.95, then they changed the webpages to the $149.95 (for PRO-users). Only with the keycodes you can now access the $99.95 upgrade. |

No mistake, I bet. A year ago I was a registered user of SF XP (I think) and Stream Anywhere. I was offered the Acid 3 Pro for $99 -- did not own any Acid, nor had any intention to at the time. I didn't own Vegas, either. I have been offered the specials on all the main releases (and have taken advantage of them). Maybe some see it as bad marketing, but those emails have put close to a grand in SoFo's pocket that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I'm now owner of all of their high-end apps & plugins and will continue to upgrade. Bad business practice? |

I went to buy online and my Amex keeps getting knocked back (even though it's fine). Same thing happened with SF6 a while back. Funny. Happen to anyone else? Have to use Visa. Yerk! |

Actualy, SF studio is a different product than SF 6. The $100.00 upgrade is the way to go.. trust me! futz, look at the web page a bit closer...studio is beginners program. |

Sound Forge 6.0 came, no message no nothing to me. I found out of the special offer from another forum on another site. It was too late, I already spend the 149 dollar. Never got a message. I am a registered user of ACID Pro. ACID Pro 3.0 came, no message no nothing to me. I found out on the site. I was lucky, on the box there was a message "Free upgrade to ACID Pro 3.0 (When available). Now ACID Pro 4.0 is here.
