Subject:The tempo is way too slow in my imported WAV files

I'm new to Acid Pro 3.0 and when I pull in my WAV files (made via Fruity Loops) they play too slow! I try to pick up the tempo of the track, but it's still to slow. Can anybody help me? Why doesn't my WAV file play at it's saved tempo (usually 100bpm or so)..

Much thanx.

If you acidized a 100bpm wav and it plays too slow at 100bpm in Acid, then you have too many beats assigned to it in the meta data (or the tempo in the meta is way faster than 100bpm). I don't know how FL saves the files, but in Sound Forge it's an easy fix -- just open the file and change the Acid Properties.

Acidized? I just load it in and try playing it.

Too many beats assigned to it in the meta data? Where is this meta data info?

"open the file and change the Acid Properties." - Open the file in Acid?

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm totally new to all of this stuff. A greatly appreciate your help though.

Thanks again.

Like I said, I'm not sure how you do this in Fruity Loops, but in Sound Forge, you have the option to "Edit Acid Properties" under the "Special" drop down menu. there you can set your key and number of beats.

The best way to check is to look at the info in Acid's explorer. If you have a loop that is four beats in real time (100bpm), but it shows as being 16 beats long in the inofrmation listed at the bottom of the window, then it will play way to slow. If you don't have Sound Forge, you'll have to figure out how to change it in Fruity Loops.

Okay when exporting my beat to a wav file in FruityLoops there is an "Acidized" option which I do check, but nothing else.

I will do some fooling around with Acid's explorer and hopefully I will find what you are talking about.

Stay tuned.

Thanx.

Well, I tried other non-FruityLoops made wav files and I still get the same problem. I even tried a song off of a CD and still the same problem, the song plays too slow and almost at a drone type pitch. Can anybody help me!??

Also, when I record via Acid 3.0 My playback is also slow and drone sounding. What could this be? All my other production software doesn't have this problem...

HELP!
