Subject:System hanging after recording...Any ideas???

Don't know if anyone else has come across this, but i was recording from vinyl into soundforge and when i click stop the try and close the record window the system hangs and then reboots itself, once rebooted i go back into SoundForge and try to recover the file but there's no wave. Just a flat line and no sound, it's done this to me now about 6 times, any ideas?

Update your sound card and video card drivers. Doing that will likely fix the problem.

I wonder, are you using ATI Radeon? If you are using the latest driver, beware... It is now a known cause for Launch Freeze.
