When I try to record a vocal track in ACID, right after I click the stop button I get an error message and ACID closes. When recording I get audio signal in the meter. One of my takes was recorded to a file that I can play back even though ACID stopped. I have a delta card with winXP. I pulled out my SBLive. I can record in Vegas Video with out any problem. Any Ideas?

Do any of you record directly into ACID?

What error message do you get?

I record directly into ACID as well (and subsequently tweak using Sound Forge). Using an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 (mainly) and Windows XP. I don't have any problems.

Like Suzan said, what's the error message say?

Sounds like an Acid/Delta driver/audio preferences issue easily fixed.

Could be, since I am just learning how to use my 1010. In ACID options>Prefs>audio tab I have windows classic Wave driver, with M-audio delta 10101/2 for playback device, I have also tried every other m-audio playback device options.

Any ideas what I should do. Here is an excerpt from my error message:

I updated my build 189 or what ever to the current build 365, I made to recorded vocal tests that work...so far so good. My guess is that it was an update for XP?

A friend of mine takes the cd that contains the drivers with the soundcards he buys and immediately puts a large drink on them. Then he downloads the most recent drivers. :) He has helped many friends by destroying their cd's. :D

I hear ya, I am checking up on a few other apps as well. BTW, My soundcard is current, maybe too current it's not XP approved ;^), it was ACID that was back in the dark ages...build 189...I was lucky it ran all.
