Can you borrow from a friend a sound card and a Video Card to test it out on your system? Try taking out Augidy first and put another sound card in (don't foget to uninstall the audigy drivers)...see what happens...and if it's still hanging try taking out the video card... Shaun |

I've had problems with the latest drivers for the Radeon (using a Radeon 32 MB DDR) and ACID Pro. My system would just sit there for a moment and then my monitor would go blank, forcing me to reboot. Strangely, other SoFo apps like Sound Forge do not have a problem with the drivers. What fixed it for me was I lowered the video acceleration a notch. Try that. Iacobus |

Glad to hear it worked for you too, Zixman! I have absolutely no idea why the new ATI drivers and ACID don't get along. I do know there are some new streamlined acceleration features in the new ATI driver. That could have something to do with it. I just may contact ATI and alert them to the problem. Iacobus |

Well ,here is the answer from ATI: Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting ATI Technical Support. Based on our experience, the majority of issues reported back to ATI Technical Support are due to system configuration and driver installation errors. Following the steps below may help to solve these problems. If you have any AntiVirus software installed or installation monitoring software, please disable it before starting the procedure. Common re-installation: 1. Install a Standard VGA driver from Safe Mode (Windows 98/ME): Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel. Click on the Display icon to open Display Properties. Click on the Settings tab in Display Properties and click on the Advanced button. Click on the button Change graphics adapter and then click on Next.
