hi again,
does the new acid 4.0 handle more than 2 track recording, now that there's a fresh ASIO driver support? if so, then it's great for multi track session recordings.

Silly question, but wouldn't Vegas be more appropriate for the task?

hi Doug,
yes I know that there's Vegas Video with that capacity but why a limit of 2 recording tracks in Acid ?
with multi track audio recording AND midi tracks, one could stay with one program instead of having to buy several to cope with different tasks. there's also the issue of latency in Vegas Video, due to only MME drivers.

You can do a little multitracking in Acid now, with a half-decent CPU, 512m and a fast drive. We wait with bated breath on the significance of their "improved audio engine" in 4.0.
